Aerotek, voted Best of Staffing, is hiring Mechanical Assembly Technician to work with a local manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN with a starting pay of $25.00/hour based on experience and skillset. These positions are responsible for performing mechanical and electrical builds of customer products of large control panel cabinets. Candidates must be able to read/understand engineers drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Experience with installation of mechanical parts using drawing is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

• To coordinate mechanical build tasks with other Manufacturing staff to fulfill customer requirements while adhering to safety, quality and customer specifications

• Follows standardized procedures to accomplish assigned tasks

• Mechanically assembles electrical control panels per customer specifications with appropriate tools

• Coordinates with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members to accomplish

• Provides information and coordinates action plans at cross-functional meetings and communicates issues with team members and/or visitors to drive corrective actions

• Utilize drawings to lay out structure for panels, measure dimensions, verify, build panels, boxes, electrical cabinets for team to wire and inspect.

• Performs part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedules

• Works under direct, close supervision, with output monitored frequently

• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids

• Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards

• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor

• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2 + years experience in mechanical installation and assembly

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Ability to interpret blueprints , graphs, schematics, and diagrams.

Work Environment:

Shift information: They are currently working a lot of overtime and are aiming to get back to a normal schedule as production catches up with the ramp of the client.

Current schedule is 1st shift from 6:00am - 6:00pm Monday-Thursday and Friday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Friday

WILL NOT WORK more than 58 hours per week ever.

WHEN PERM they will receive double time for Sundays worked.

Environment - Extremely clean, temperature controlled environment. Electrical assembly area consists of 11 cell stations (6 on one side, 5 on other side) with large working areas. Teams will consist of 7 - 9 technicians per work cell and they will be working as a team to assemble the units per specification.

Current department size is 56 employees in this department and is expected growth will increase this 110 in this department alone.
