What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expert guidance to ensure the program, policy, and business needs of the State are accurately captured and translated into system requirements
- Advise clients on translating Medicaid policy and program needs into systems needs and change requests
- Lead and manage client projects related to Medicaid systems, including deliverable creation and project management
- Facilitate meetings and training sessions with project teams, clients, and vendors
- Monitor quality assurance and control procedures to manage enterprise-level risks and issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (four years of applicable experience may substitute for degree)
- Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience working for a State Medicaid Agency
- At least 5 years’ experience in systems implementation projects, including requirements gathering and management
- Minimum of 2 years’ Medicaid system configuration experience
- Required experience in Medicaid policy research, analysis, development, and/or implementation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with change request/change process related to Medicaid systems
- Familiarity with Medicaid waivers and/or managed care
- Background in medical coding and billing
