What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate patients' medication regimens and identify potential adherence barriers
- Create and implement tailored adherence strategies using reminders and tools
- Conduct regular follow-ups to track adherence and adjust plans as needed
- Work with healthcare providers, pharmacists, and patients to ensure coordinated care and communication
- Maintain accurate records, analyze data, and report on adherence metrics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma/GED; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields are preferred
- 1-3 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant, Medical Records Technician, or Referral Coordinator
- 1-3 years' experience working with medical records and/or patients in a healthcare setting
- Home office that is HIPAA compliant for all remote or telecommuting positions
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields (e.g., Certified Pharmacy Technician, Certified Health Education Specialist)
- Strong understanding of medication regimens, pharmacology, and potential side effects
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance coverage, and patient assistance programs
- Excellent analytical skills for monitoring adherence data and identifying trends
- Capability to advocate on behalf of patients to secure necessary resources and support
