What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist patients in understanding healthcare provider recommendations and perform patient care functions
- Participate in coordinating patient flow and chart management with the medical team
- Conduct point of care testing, document results in electronic health records (EHR), and prepare treatment rooms
- Schedule tests, handle medical calls, and provide general information to patients regarding services
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Medical Assistant Certificate required
- Current CPR Certification, maintained up to date
- Minimum of 1 year of FQHC experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual English/Spanish with familiarity with Hispanic culture
- Experience with NextGen (EHR & PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of various healthcare programs and insurance plans, including Medi-Cal and Medicare
- Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities
