What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the coordination of patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers
- Prepare and room patients, accurately obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information
- Perform back-office testing and assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Provide follow-up with patients regarding test results and care instructions
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure cleanliness of treatment areas
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of experience in a direct patient care role, including vital signs
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances (Criminal Background and Child Abuse Clearance)
- Certification as a Medical Assistant must be obtained within 120 days of hire if applicable
