What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide clinical and administrative support to clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients
- Conduct patient intake, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration
- Manage patient check-in functions, including eligibility verification and appointment scheduling
- Deliver excellent customer service and assist with care coordination and referrals
- Complete telephonic history and pre-visit planning as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a physician office
- High school diploma required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Current Driver's License and CPR/First Aid Certification required
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid benefits and familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft programs and EMR applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; knowledge of Vietnamese or Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is a plus
- Experience working with internal medicine offices highly preferred
