What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to inquiries from insurance carriers via telephone, email, or fax, ensuring high levels of customer service
- Pursue reimbursement from carriers by making phone calls and documenting contacts in an electronic tracking system
- Coordinate third-party collections and work towards reducing outstanding balances
- Review and resolve uncollected accounts and prepare charge corrections
- Appeal carrier denials by reviewing coding, contracts, and medical records

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical billing environment
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding is required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail necessary

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPC certification is a plus
- Proven ability in collections and negotiation is highly preferred
- Ability to understand and apply contract language to billing
