What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Resolve aged accounts and manage denials in compliance with federal, state, and payor guidelines
- Identify and escalate payor or system trends resulting in underpayments and denials
- Conduct thorough research to determine the necessity of appeals and other claims actions
- Communicate effectively with payors and patients to obtain necessary information for claim resolution
- Maintain clear documentation of all activities associated with accounts and respond to patient inquiries

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the medical reimbursement field
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with some college-level courses
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word, including formatting and editing documents
- Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Experience with billing 1500 and UB04 claim forms

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to operate office equipment
- Experience in denial management and understanding of payer behaviors
- Ability to type 45 wpm and proficient in 10-key by touch
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for professional interactions
