What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Resolve aged accounts and manage denial issues across multiple states and potentially internationally
- Identify and escalate consistent payor or system trends leading to underpayments or denials
- Communicate effectively with payors and management to address claim issues and reimbursement obstacles
- Process appeals, reopenings, and redeterminations as needed for various insurance carriers
- Respond to patient inquiries and manage accounts, including processing charity and payment plans

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical reimbursement field
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; some college-level courses preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and PDF formatting/editing
- Ability to understand and read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Strong communication skills for professional interactions with insurance representatives and patients

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with billing 1500 and UB04 claim forms
- Knowledge of non-contracted and contracted payer behaviors
- Ability to type 45 wpm and perform 10-key by touch
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office equipment operation
- Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
