What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the existing process of medical billing for specialty pharmacy facilities to ensure prompt submission and reconciliation of claims
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance and grow the medical billing process across all facilities
- Provide timely reporting, feedback, and information to support business operations and medical billing functions
- Create, follow, and improve policies and procedures to enhance the medical billing process
- Coordinate with pharmacy and finance staff for accurate financial reporting of billing and receipts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- 12-24 months of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Past experience in a customer service-related field
- Past experience in a medical billing environment
- Must be available and punctual for scheduled work shifts, including nights and weekends as required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medical Billing/Coding certification or Pharmacy technician certification
- Broad knowledge of medications, physician orders, and pharmacy systems
- Strong communication and outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency in Excel and computer keyboarding skills
