What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Travel to hospitals to pick up physician encounter data
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing based on hospital service data
- Review patient demographic and financial information for accurate reimbursement
- Work on insurance denials based on diagnosis codes and determine charge resolution
- Maintain compliance with the organization’s confidentiality policy and other procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing and coding
- Professional Billing Coding certification (CPC, CCS-P) required
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing national standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
