Job summary
We require a Medical Receptionist/Administrator PM Receptionist Mon-Fri 12:30pm -6:30pm with initiative, drive, strong interpersonal, admin and IT skills. Previous reception/ admin and/or customer services skills are desirable. Join our happy and dedicated team providing quality care to a diverse population.

Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Practice

Job responsibilities
Ensuring confidentiality
Receiving and directing patients
Reception duties
Running appointment system, surgeries and clinics
Taking messages and details of visit requests
Dealing with patient queries e.g. test results
Register new patients following practice policy
Removal of patient records
Manage document management and online consultations
Monitor practice email daily
Accept and log deliveries
Follow daily reception rota
Generate repeat prescriptions
Familiar with EPS and online requests
Scanning of letters and patient correspondence
Use of computer as directed
Use of software packages e.g: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Liaise with hospitals; arrange ambulance transport for patients, scans or outpatients appointments
Open post and distribute> Leave private and confidential marked post in PM tray
Attend meetings
Attend courses as and when required by the Practice
Checking and maintain stocks of forms and stationary
Maintenance of beverages/washing up and general tidiness of the premises
Evening staff to ensure practice is fully vacated and all end of days checks carried out
Receiving and checking deadlines to meet practice targets
Photocopying, scanning and filing
Prepare and participate in CQC inspection in conjunction with other delegated practice staff
Admin duties including secretarial support including typing as and when required
Support admin team and practice manager
Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Practice
