      Medical Record and Revenue Cycle Student Assistant

      Scope of Position

      Student Assistant assists with projects and assignments for departments reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer as assigned by the respective manager.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Provides assistance for multiple cost centers
      • Ensures invoices are scanned, saved and logged
      • Assists with invoice tracking for budget forecast
      • Ensures employee file documents are scanned and saved
      • Assists with tracking and auditing department files
      • Performs quality checks on documents
      • Makes entries in the employee database
      • Ensures signed CareLink files are scanned, saved, and logged
      • Communicates information to staff
      • Assists with maintaining department distribution lists
      • Assists with planning and preparation for meetings and events
      • Assists with space planning and Ackerman floorplan
      • Files paper documents and scans/files electronic documents
      • Contacts facilities/housekeeping
      • Creates presentations, reports and other documents
      • Creates surveys for the department
      • Deposits checks at the 660 Business Office
      • Enters door access requests
      • Monitors conference room calendar
      • Monitors and maintains office supplies and communicates when ordering is needed
      • Orders and maintains MDF supplies
      • Performs necessary tasks, as requested, to ensure department is running efficiently
      • Sends and receives faxes
      • Prepares outgoing mail

      Performing other miscellaneous duties which may include:

      • Completes volume logs on a daily basis and submits to supervisor
      • Discards material that contains private health information appropriately
      • Provides cross coverage of other positions
      • Other duties or special projects as assigned

      Minimum Qualifications

      For Hire: Students enrolled in OSU programs designed to achieve a Bachelor’s degree within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

      Additional Information:

      • Discards material that contains private health information appropriately
      • Provides cross coverage of other positions
      • Other duties or special projects as assigned
