Medical Records Coordinator

Touchstone Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced, patient care-oriented professional on a full-time basis as a Medical Records Coordinator for our Medical Center location in San Antonio, TX.

Shift: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)

Responsabilities:

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Ensure timely and accurate follow up of all assigned cases within the work list
• Scanning and or upload all records requested into the third party database
• Maintain complete confidentiality as it relates to our patients PHI
• Responsibility of maintaing and completing assigned worklist as requestes are submitted

Requirements:

• 1-2 year's experience working in a medical records position
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in technology include software programs such as Word and Excel
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations as it relates to the transmission of medical records
• Experience working with Chart Request or Chart Swap a plus
• Candidates must possess the following traits to be successful in this role:

• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced, timeline driven environment to meet goals
