- Audio-typing of clinical reports and correspondence using the Winscribe digital dictation system
- To liaise with Nurses, Doctors and other members of the multi - disciplinary team including Inpatient & Outpatient Bookings teams to provide a quality service for the patients.
- To work as part of a team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the department in line with Trust performance targets.
- Word processing / audio typing qualifications or RSA level II or equivalent
- Good knowledge of the English language to be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of good office & administrative practice
- Able to learn medical terminology (following a period of learning on the job if necessary) and use this effectively as part of the role.
- Previous and recent secretarial experience
- Previous secretarial experience, working in a health care environment

Job summary
To provide full and comprehensive secretarial support to the Breast Unit consultants and clinical teams.
To provide a central point of communication for patients undergoing consultant / treatment from Breast Unit Consultants.
