Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Medical Secretary/ Flow Administrator join the Rehabilitation Flow Team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Medical Secretary/Flow Administrator is a key role within the Rehab Flow Team. Whilst working to provide the professional administration to support the Rehabilitation Flow Deputy Admin Lead, Team Leader and the rehabilitation practitioners, the post holder will a key role in to the rehabilitation flow function. As well as being support for the Rehab Flow Team, the post holder will provide Medical Secretary duties for members of the Rehab Team. The post holder will be expected to work with a degree of autonomy and co-ordinate his/her activities with the members of the team in order that an efficient service is provided. The post holder will carry out the duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work and to assist the Team to maximize the most effective Rehab Flow service. It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative commensurate with the role and it is vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times. The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' and their carers.
Main duties of the job
In doing this, the right candidate will have a desire to optimise the services user rehabilitation experience whilst supporting and improving flow within the rehabilitation pathway, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues. There is a requirement for clinical experience in the acute mental health settings with a desire to improve the patient experience and journey.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently using initiative, and applying a high degree of confidentiality to all of their work. The right candidate must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, manage competing demands and organise their own work to contribute to the smooth operation of the Rehabilitation Flow Team.
