Responsibilities

Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The Med/Surg RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients across various medical and surgical units.

Shift: Full Time Days 7 am to 7pm

Sign on bonus: Up to $20,000 (paid out every 90 days until 2 years)Key Responsibilities:• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit, adhering to established protocols and standards.• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with diverse medical conditions and post-surgical needs.• Monitor and document patients’ conditions, vital signs, and progress accurately and promptly.• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and effectively.• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to optimize patient outcomes.• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.2. BCLS upon hire and maintain current.3. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.4. ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintained current. #LI-DV1
