What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and analyze Medicare payment policies and regulatory changes to update proprietary databases
- Prepare and deliver new files and updates to customers
- Clarify policy ambiguities or publication errors by corresponding with CMS or other payers
- Implement solutions to help healthcare providers comply with regulations and achieve proper payment
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND four years of healthcare or medical coding experience in a relevant environment
- OR High School Diploma/GED AND eight years of healthcare or medical coding experience
- Strong knowledge of medical coding practices, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Ability to meet frequent short-term deadlines and work independently as well as collaboratively
- Proficient in data analysis and computer skills, including MS Office and database management

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification
- Experience in health information systems or medical billing
- Certification such as CCS-H, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-P, COC, CCA, RHIT, or RHIA
- Understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Background in medical coding, billing, or auditing, especially in hospital outpatient settings
