What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist providers by ensuring patients' compliance with medications and lab monitoring
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to maintain accurate medication history
- Navigate the medication authorization process and assist patients in overcoming barriers to access
- Document all relevant findings within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and care team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician or healthcare employee working with medications
- Medication Therapy Management Certification or Medication History Certificate from ASHP (must be obtained within 6 months)
- Proficiency in using computers and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with insurance to process medication authorizations
- Experience in outpatient clinics and processing medication refill requests
- Familiarity with taking patient medication history
