What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver age-appropriate care according to the resident's plan of care, including assistance with daily living activities
- Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document care outcomes
- Communicate changes in residents' conditions and concerns to the charge nurse
- Assist with food preparation and provide a positive dining experience for residents
- Maintain cleanliness of living areas and assist with wellness and recreational programs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required for North Dakota and Iowa; must maintain certification
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 3 months of previous experience in long-term care required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
- Completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required
- Minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually based on state requirements
