      Job Summary

      The Member Engagement Specialist will be primarily responsible for membership retention and increased engagement within the CLS small member community. The Specialist will work jointly with the Business Development Retention and Acquisition team to collaborate on lead generation, field blitz days, and training with key service providers. The Member Engagement Specialist will track, measure, and be held accountable for individual and team KPI goals.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Achieve annual retention target for existing members, responsible for renewal process of small member companies.
      • Engage with all levels of personnel within member organizations including C-suite, Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing, IT/Facilities, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Laboratory personnel to drive participation in the CLSAdvantage cost savings program.
      • Responsible for member engagement with multiple outreaches per year promoting cost savings, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) programming, events, and Racial & Social Equity (RSE) programs.
      • Conduct business reviews remotely with member companies to detail savings, return on investment, and future engagement as part of the annual renewal process.
      • Document all activities in Salesforce and report out monthly progress utilizing defined scopes of work and individual dashboards.
      • Monitor past due accounts with follow up outreach to member companies.
      • Review data trends/analytics related to membership gains, retention, and engagement, and member benefits.
      • Other duties as required.

      Required Skills/Abilities

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Knowledge of Salesforce and LinkedIn a plus.
      • Understanding of principles and processes of customer service.
      • Excellent time management skills.

      • Ability to show initiative, be self-motivated, innovative, and an independent thinker.
      • Must possess excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
      • Strong desire to work in a rapidly maturing, team-focused organization.

      Education and Experience

      • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
      • Two or more years of experience in a sales support or customer service role, preferably in the life sciences industry, required.
