Job summary
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Practitioner? Join our At Risk Mental State service (The PAUSE Team). PAUSE works with people aged 14-35 who are at risk of developing psychosis. The team is part of an established, psychology led, trauma informed Psychosis Pathway within Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.
You could be from any registered profession e.g. a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist. Join a team committed to promoting a non-pathologising understanding of distress aimed at reducing stigma, promoting empowerment, and increasing social inclusion.
PAUSE comprises experienced multidisciplinary staff who work flexibly and creatively to engage with individuals and their families. We provide assessment, formulation and signposting as well as offer a range of psychosocial and psychological interventions.
You will be a Keyworker and maintain a clinical caseload. You will receive regular clinical supervision will provide line management to more junior staff. Training and professional development will be prioritised.
You will be based at Gwendolen House but travel county wide to see people in their homes and local communities.
The PAUSE team seeks to be responsive to the needs of the diverse communities in our locality. We aim to be embedded in local neighbourhoods. The team works with existing secondary care services and is building new relationships with primary care, education and the third sector.
Main duties of the job
You will share responsibility for the delivery of a clinically effective service which meets the needs of individuals, families, and communities in line with local and national development plans.
You will complete Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental States (CAARMS) assessments and signpost to other services where necessary. You will offer 5Ps formulation and use the Dialog+ to inform your clinical work.
You will hold a case load and deliver evidence-based individual psychosocial and psychological interventions for psychosis and co-existing mental health issues including family interventions, social prescribing, and education/employment support to meet recovery goals.
You will take a senior role within the team and contribute to the clinical and managerial leadership of staff.
You will help raise awareness of the PAUSE team and its ethos, including delivering teaching and training to colleagues in the Trust, supporting research, audit and evaluation within PAUSE.
