      Job Description

      The BAE Systems Finance organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making in order to deliver quality products and capabilities to our customers.       The Tactical Systems Team, within the C4ISR Business Area, is seeking a highly motivated Product Line Finance Manager II to join Project Finance team. The Tactical Systems portfolio consists of >200 active contracts of multiple program types. Annual revenue is excess of $350M. Contracts supported range in size from (less than $2M to $100M) and have varying levels of complexity and the portfolio contains both production and development contracts.

      Remote work will be considered for the ideal candidate. If the selected candidate is sitting remote or hybrid from another BAE Systems location, there will be a requirement of at least 25% annual travel to our Greenlawn, NY site. Local candidates working in a hybrid capacity out of the Greenlawn offices will be required to be in office at least 50% of the time.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Provide direct supervision activities, including completion of performance goals and reviews, assigning work scope to employees and ensuring employees operate according to company policies and procedures
      • Promote the professional development of the Financial Analysts and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement
      • Ensure team fully understands their roles and impact on financial results
      • Financial oversight of the Tactical Systems Product Line for forecasting, Estimate at Complete preparation, External financial reporting and Earned Value Management compliance
      • Work with Business Area Managers to develop quarterly, annual and five year financial forecasts in Hyperion for the Tactical Systems portfolio.
      • Provide financial guidance to the Business Area Leads and the Program Management Teams
      • Establish strong partnerships with cross-functional Team Members in the organization
      • Collaborate with Accounting, Pricing, Government Compliance, and Financial Planning
      • Review cost estimates for Tactical Systems Proposals, ensuring that proposals are financially sound and risks are understood and margins are achievable
      • Provide analytical data and recommendations for improvement
      • Perform resource management planning, ensuring maximum utilization of personnel
      • Monitor and analyze monthly financial performance against forecast and plan and provide insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
      • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall objectives of the organization.

      Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

      Required Skills and Education

      Required education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience.

      • Recent experience in the Defense Industry
      • Prior Program Controls experience working with various contract type
      • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
      • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
      • Capable of efficient and relevant decision-making
      • Analytical and problem solving skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • Strong Mentoring Skills
      • Ability to work with diverse work teams
      • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
      • Ability to present financial data to various functions and varying levels of Management
      • Able to develop presentation material
      • Experience with Financial Planning and Forecasting
