Conducts Psycho-educational individual or group sessions as needed on topics such as weight management, fitness and exercise, healthy eating habits, general health and wellness, and military physical fitness test.
Provides on-demand group health and wellness coaching sessions as requested and approved by the Government.
Refers participants to appropriate, sanctioned military resources.
Collects participant feedback, document and report on session metrics such as incidents, accidents, and grievances; customer satisfaction data; customer outcomes data, outreach and participant engagement against the established service-level agreements (SLAs) and service-level agreements (SLAs) and Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) standards.
Records in the After-Action Report (AAR) for each case, the services provided, any follow-up activities performed or case closures.
Contributes to the development of evidence-based Health and Wellness content for submission of government approval.
Develop personalized wellness plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
Implement behavior change strategies to help clients overcome obstacles and develop healthier habits.
Assist clients in identifying and addressing barriers to wellness.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in health and wellness, including emerging trends and research.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as nursing, social work, psychology, counseling, nutrition or personal training/fitness.
Holds a certificate in Health and Wellness coaching from a program that is approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
Strong customer service skills, knowledge of call center operations, and knowledge and understanding of military lifestyle and culture.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft based tools including Word, Outlook, Excel; web-based research; electronic documentation systems.
U.S. citizen and ability to speak fluent English.
Military spouse or former Service member is required for some consultation programs.
Ability to pass a criminal history and fingerprint background checks, and credential review/verification.
Veteran/military retiree, Wounded Warrior, and/or military spouse
Experience working with and/or for military communities
Employee assistance program (EAP) experience
Call center experience
Telehealth experience
The MVHS Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Health and Wellness Coach to work remotely. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Military OneSource mission. The Military OneSource Program provides 24/7 support services for military members and their families, similar to a commercial employee assistance program (EAP). This program provides a broad array of information, resources, education, referrals, and counseling to about 4.7 million participants which includes Service members, their families, and eligible civilians at locations worldwide. The Military OneSource program serves as a “one source” for resource and information encompassing a comprehensive support system.
Health and wellness coaches provide participants with information and coaching on achieving and/or maintaining optimal health and wellness, physical fitness, and establishing healthy habits that meet Council on Accreditation (COA) or Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) minimum requirements and standards.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $119,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
