Missile and Space Systems Maintenance at United States Air Force summary: Missile and Space Systems Maintenance specialists are crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of missiles and rockets, integral to national defense. They are responsible for servicing and ensuring the functionality of various missile systems, including launchers and space lift boosters, through meticulous planning and execution of necessary maintenance tasks. To qualify for this role, candidates must meet specific requirements including age, citizenship, and educational standards set by the Air Force and Department of Defense. FORTIFYING OUR DEFENSES Missiles and rockets are critical components of our national defense strategy. Responsible for servicing and maintaining them, Missile and Space Systems Maintenance specialists ensure these assets are fully operational at all times. From missile launchers to space lift boosters, these highly knowledgeable experts plan, organize and perform every service necessary to keep these systems in pristine working condition so they're ready when we need them. REQUIREMENTS You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.Minimum Education You must be 17–42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score.
