      The expected salary range for this position is $99,800.00 - $124,750.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential.       This career specialist will be an M&E Specialist for Education & Livelihoods-related programming (e.g., economic development, literacy, numeracy, Technical & Vocational Training). They will be a subject-matter expert responsible for designing Education & Livelihood M&E frameworks, survey instruments, training materials, conducting analyses, drafting reports, advising on data visualizations and supporting the organization on implementation of these frameworks in National Offices. They will also co-lead Communities of Practices. This position will report to the Senior Manager of M&E Design and will collaborate with other members of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) team as well as with other teams across the organization.

      What will you do?

      • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.

      • Design high-quality monitoring & evaluation frameworks for education, economic development, or livelihoods interventions and programs, including finding high-quality surveys and tools or designing survey questions, when needed.

      • Support the rollout of child and youth outcome measurement, which includes supporting translation/adaptation of survey instruments, updating survey items or scales as needed, supporting data collector training as needed, conducting validity and reliability analyses, among other tasks.

      • Provide subject-matter expertise in education, economic development, or livelihoods.

      • Build surveys for survey platforms such as SurveyCTO or ODK. This includes yaml file creation and iteration.

      • Co-lead at least one Community of Practice

      • Simplify complex information to report to a variety of stakeholders.

      • Collaborate with Compassion’s Data Insights team on visualizations that will allow stakeholders to meaningfully engage with the data and draw accurate conclusions.

      • Utilize high-quality quantitative or qualitative methods, as appropriate, to monitor and evaluate projects.

      • Champion holistic child development and provide the organization with ongoing subject matter expertise in using high quality data to measure program inputs, outputs, and outcomes.

      What will you bring?

      • Master's Degree in economics, education, social science, agriculture, or a related field is required.

      • At least 5 years' experience working in an international development setting with an emphasis in evaluation or research.

      • Experience in designing education, economic development, or livelihood programming and research or evaluation is required.

      • Experience with online survey tools and conducting quantitative analysis using a statistical software package is required.

      • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.

      • Fluency in a second language is a plus.

      Travel Requirements : Ability to travel up to 25% of normal schedule including international travel. T ravelers must follow the vaccination rule of each country they travel to.
