- Manages pipeline of loans to ensure service standards and financial goals are met. Reviews files for accuracy, updates information on LOS as needed, and clears closing conditions. Prepares initial closing disclosure along with closing package. Ensures loans are in accordance with federal and state regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending Practices.
- Prepares, balances, and emails final closing disclosure to title company. Communicates with title company on final documents and ensures docs are delivered in a timely manner for scheduled loan closing.
- Balances final figures with title and orders wire from wire desk.
- Effectively communicates with team members as well as outside entities to facilitate a prompt, efficient closing of each loan.
- Reads and resolves any loan compliance issues during closing/funding process. Responds to and resolves any post-closing/audit findings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years loan closing/funding experience in residential mortgage
- Working knowledge of RESPA disclosures, FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines along with title commitments, hazard and flood insurance policies
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Works well with others
- Proficient in all compliance-related regulations including RESPA
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems
- Working knowledge of Encompass preferred
