What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and maintain referral sources to solicit first mortgages and generate origination volume
- Collect and analyze applicants' financial information to assess loan eligibility
- Engage in persuasive sales activities to encourage potential customers to utilize mortgage services
- Manage the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the mortgage lending process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of recent residential mortgage lending experience
- Proven ability to develop referral sources from external contacts and relationships
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the local mortgage market
- Familiarity with compliance regulations in mortgage lending
- Previous sales experience in a financial services environment
- Established network of realtors, builders, and financial advisors
