What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 Diagnosis codes, along with CPT/HCPCS codes for payment
- Review coding-related denials from payors and make recommendations to resolve claims based on payer guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications):
- CCS-P and/or CPC certification
- Thorough working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and modifier usage
- 3-5 years of professional coding experience, preferably with 2 years of outpatient coding experience and a background coding for multi-specialty practices
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and medical abbreviations
- Ability to read text for long periods of time from printed materials/computer
