      National Fulfillment Director

      Mobility is the goal

      Execute the New Installation (NI), Modernizations (MOD) & Large Projects (LP) business in an efficient, safe and sustainable way to achieve profitability, and overall market share growth. This role is accountable for all NI/MOD/LP Fulfillment activities in accordance with the strategies, policies, and guidelines of Schindler. The function is also responsible to manage the NI/MOD/LP Fulfillment organization to achieve the KG targets by delivering the adequate processes and tools and support to the Branches in agreement with Field Operations.

      • Responsible for NI/MOD/LP Fulfillment for Canada and for implementation of all related initiatives as provided by Global. Responsible to adopt to local requirements.
      • Creating value through driving and managing all functional activities related to Schindler’s NI/MOD/LP Fulfillment business as per Global Fulfillment guidelines to achieve business results.
      • Ensure the most effective and efficient planning and use of tools and resources in the NI/LP Fulfillment & Efficiency processes, establishing actions to close capacity gaps on KG level.
      • Manage Fulfillment and NI/MOD/LP Methods/Tools to achieve safety, top quality and cost-effective NI/MOD/LP project execution.
      • Assure and plan the overall human capital readiness including training and certification to guarantee a safe and professional project execution based on Global Fulfillment guidelines.
      • Collaborate in the budgeting process regarding efficiency targets.
      • On-site testing of any new global process in Canada to identify gaps based on local industry uses or legal requirements or constraints.
      • Evaluate standard hours, if necessary, based on external time assessment, to ensure seamless acceptance by the workforce (Union labour)
      • Provide timely and adequate feedback to Global to make sure local requirements are considered.
      • Introduce and implement global metrics to measure performance as expected.
      • Ensure full compliance of metrics interpretation with the global standards.
      • Conduct operational analysis of results and deviations (Country and Branch level) and establish actions to close variances.
      • Perform pre/post-gap analysis and assist the Branches in taking appropriate corrective actions (including process training)
      • Identify internal BDPs and deploy them as part of the continuous improvement.
      • Collaborate internally to document all developments in NI/MOD installation methods.
      • For very special elevators, work with Global to adapt and amend installation methods.
      • Identify new tools and processes inside and outside the lift industry to continually improvement installation efficiencies.
      • All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current Canadian legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements.
      • The National Director must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and always set a personal example of safe behavior.
      • National Director will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system.

      Mobility needs you

      • Post-Secondary – preferably a degree in Engineering, Business or Finance, or related experience
      • 8-10 years in elevator industry or related experience, or a similar industry which includes the sales and servicing of capital equipment, with at least 5-8 of those years is a senior supervisory or management position.
      • Proven track record in driving business process improvement
      • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Experience working with SAP
      • Full driving license and willingness to travel is essential
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
      • Shares information and keeps stakeholders informed.
      • Motivated by results and strives to exceed expectations.
      • Self -starter, enthusiastic work ethic, able to prioritize/deal with large workload fluctuations and work under pressure
      • Ability to prioritize and multi-task at a high level whilst remaining calm under pressure
      • Proficient in MS Office
      • Leadership: Ability to lead by providing clear expectations and standards, delegating responsibilities and holding employees accountable, recognizing employee achievements and addressing performance gaps and fostering team commitment
      • Analytical: ability to think conceptually to have impact, ability to understand complex tasks/situations/problems, analyze them using a systematic approach and identify trends or relationships
      • Full understanding and proven adherence to FF+
      • Strong experience in the use of SPN and other Schindler NI management tools
      • Working across multiple departments and teams to get things done at all levels of Schindler globally.
      • Track record of developing new processes to improve business issues.
      • Full understanding and practical implementation/auditing of all Schindler (and industry) safety policies and procedures
      • Strong understanding of installation methods & processes and general site working practices
