      Contract Duration: 6 months
      Pay range: C$25 - 35/hr
      Location: Cambridge, ON
      Work Type: Remote

      About the role:

      • GTT's Insurance client is seeking a talented, driven, and highly skilled .NET Front-End UX Developer to take ownership of the user experience layer in their applications.
      • This is a hands-on contract opportunity for someone who can jump in, take initiative, and elevate our front-end development process across the board.
      • You'll be joining a project focused on building a Unified Portal for Group Benefits Insurance — a modern, responsive platform for members to:
        • Sign in and view claims they've submitted
        • Submit new claims online
        • Register for banking, update their address, and manage personal info
        • Eventually, access claims balances and other key account features
      • This is a modern Blazor + MudBlazor implementation built for usability and performance.
      • You'll be working alongside a Tech Lead who handles the heavy business logic and analysis and a UX Lead who guides design.

      Job Description:

      • Own the execution of the UI.
      • You'll work closely with the UX Lead on design ideas, but once the direction is clear, we expect you to run with it - no handholding, no micromanagement
      • You'll take design concepts from Figma and turn them into functional, polished, and scalable UI using Blazor Server and C#.
      • This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative but autonomous environment and is ready to truly lead the front-end experience for a critical insurance platform.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end developers to build responsive, scalable, and intuitive web applications.
      • Convert design mockups (primarily from Figma) into high-quality code using Blazor Server, HTML5, CSS3, and C#.
      • Design and implement reusable UI components with a focus on modularity and performance using MudBlazor and object-oriented design principles.
      • Lead front-end architecture discussions and implement best practices in UX design and accessibility.
      • Own and test your code before submitting to QA—ensure quality from development to deployment.
      • Actively participate in daily Scrum stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, and other Agile ceremonies.
      • Perform usability testing and provide feedback to enhance user experience.
      • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development and UX design.

      Job Requirements

      • Multi-year, proven experience in front-end development with a strong focus on UX.
      • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (must be exceptional), JavaScript, C#, and Blazor Server.
      • Experience with MudBlazor, Bootstrap, and creating reusable UI components.
      • Strong familiarity with Azure environments, Azure DevOps, and Git.
      • Comfortable working with Figma designs and interpreting them accurately.
      • Able to work independently and proactively— a self-starter who doesn't require micromanagement.
      • Solid grasp of responsive design and mobile-first development principles.
      • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team environment.
      • A portfolio showcasing front-end and UX design work is required.
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or advanced Figma skills.
      • Knowledge of accessibility standards, SEO principles, and web performance optimization.
      • Ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule
