Job Description

- Follows direction to perform maintenance of network devices including the restoration of hardware and software.
- Follow directions on how to conduct research and evaluate network technology.
- Works with end users, Team Members and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues.
- Installs, supports and tests Local and Wide Area Networks.
- Supports Infrastructure including: switches, routers, wireless, and firewalls.
- May administer end-user training to achieve efficient utilization of LAN/WAN.
- Responds to and resolves help desk tickets.
- Participates in project management activities as assigned.
- Participates in Network Team On-Call program.
- Adheres to the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems management, information systems, or a related field, and/or applicable technical certificate and/or equivalent related experience.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
- Beginning to working knowledge of current and emerging networking technologies including but not limited to TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- One or more years' of prior experience in IT related discipline.
- Healthcare experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Reviews progress and evaluates results. Performs work under supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, but refers more complex issues to higher-level Team Members.
