The NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP) offers all new parents the opportunity to have their baby's hearing screened within the first few weeks of life. The NHSP Vision is to improve outcomes for every child through a high quality hearing screening programme, safe and effective assessments and family-centred intervention. Early identification, via the programme, gives babies a better 'life chance' of developing speech and language skills and of making the most of social and emotional interaction from an early age.

About the company
National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
