      Basic Job Functions:

      Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Shipping Administrator. The Shipping Administrator will have a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, weighing all trucks in and out at the scale house; communicating with truck drivers, shipping/roll mill personnel and the sales team to resolve any system or paperwork problems; handling various administrative tasks; setting up loads for shipment; working with Tripware and Oracle Business Solution; providing report information; maintaining document storage for key information; operating and understanding of radiation detection equipment; and billing finished goods and truck/rail cars. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

      Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • Skilled in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word with demonstrated ability to create and format documents and spreadsheets efficiently and accurately.
      • Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, wireless devices: headpiece/microphone, and handheld radios. Able to send information amongst electronic devices with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues independently.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Minimum 2-year degree
      • Previous experience in logistics and/or supply chain management
      • Bilingual; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make one’s self understood to all Spanish speaking individuals
