      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, motivated and hard-working individuals to apply for the position of Nurse Practitioner / Sexual Health Adviser within the Department of Sexual Health.

      The Department of Sexual Health is part of the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care Clinical Board of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The focus of the department is to provide sexual healthcare incorporating the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, contraception, HIV care and health promotion to the population which includes a large student cohort.

      We are particularly interested in talking to NMC registrants who currently work in a Sexual Health setting or have recent relevant experience within the field. We are looking for professionals to join our multi-disciplinary team who are driven and committed to the maintenance and development of high-quality patient care.

      Main duties of the job

      Key responsibilities will be to assess the full range of care needs, develop, implement and evaluate the programme of care for patients throughout the department of Sexual Health. You will be confident and competent autonomous practitioner who practices within the sphere of the NMC and UHB guidelines. You will be a positive role model and support and guide junior staff and student nurses within all clinical domains.

      Successful applicants will mainly work in clinics based in Cardiff Royal Infirmary, with occasional working in clinics across the Vale of Glamorgan.

      The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
