      Description:

      The Business Services Manager position in Staten Island, New York, offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong aptitude for data analysis, strategic planning, leadership, and administrative capabilities. As the Business Services Manager at the Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center (SIWF1CC), your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of Account Managers in forging meaningful business relationships with companies across Staten Island. Key sectors of focus include Retail Trade, Professional Services, Accommodation and Food Services, Information, Finance and Insurance, Healthcare (non-clinical), Social Assistance, and more. Your strategic prowess is pivotal in not only identifying the hiring needs of these employers but also in securing commitments to utilize SIWF1CC's recruitment services within specified timeframes. This role necessitates a dynamic blend of office-based tasks and in-field business-to-business engagement, with a particular strategic emphasis on ensuring the team brings in enough employer commitments to meet the center's placement goals. It's also crucial to make sure these opportunities are diverse in terms of sectors and wage levels to create a well-rounded and impactful workforce development program benefiting both job seekers and employers across Staten Island.

      Responsibilities

      Successful Elements:

      · Develop and execute strategies to cultivate relationships with local businesses, ensuring commitment to fill their job vacancies through Workforce1 Career Center services.

      · Expand and nurture existing business relationships, gathering feedback, promoting cross-selling, and encouraging exclusive partnerships.

      · Collaborate with center leadership, operations, and marketing teams to enhance awareness and interest in Workforce1 recruitment services.

      · Analyze data and present performance metrics to upper leadership and funders with a solution-focused mentality, using concrete data and strategic planning.

      · Create presentations and deliver them to the Workforce1 system and stakeholders, representing the team's performance accurately and in a positive light.

      · Ensure the team has sufficient sales targets to secure employer commitments and meet center placement goals.

      · Lead strategic efforts to increase portfolio diversity in wage levels and sectors.

      · Oversee strategy with individual Account Managers to review low-performance accounts and work together to alter processes or relationships for improved results.

      · Supervise the Account Management team in efficiently documenting employer information, job descriptions, openings, and other essential details for successful job placements.

      · Ensure accurate and timely entry of employer data into databases, complying with NYC Department of Small Business Services guidelines.

      · Coordinate recruitment service delivery with the Recruitment Services Manager and ensure the fulfillment of job orders.

      · Oversee timely securing of written confirmations from employers regarding job order fulfillment.

      · Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in assigned sectors and subsectors.

      · Provide target estimates, progress reports, and contribute to sales forecasting and business development plans.

      · Define KPIs for the team and ensure their achievement, aligning with center goals.

      · Troubleshoot platform issues and provide solutions.

      · Oversee new projects with minimal guidance and effectively communicate project details to the team

      Qualifications

      Required Experience:

      · Strong strategic planning and goal-setting abilities

      · Leadership experience in managing and directing sales teams

      · Proficiency in data analysis

      · Strong administrative skills, including database management and presentation creation

      · Effective written and verbal communication skills

      · Adaptability to meet the changing needs of contracts or funders

      · Preferred experience in sales or marketing

      · Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)

      · Subject matter expertise in assigned sectors and subsectors

      · Goal-oriented with the ability to track and achieve KPIs

      Required Education:

      · Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
