      We are offering an exciting opportunity as O&M Technical Support Engineer to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future!

      As G4 First Line O&M Technical Support Engineer you will become the “spider in the web”, the central point of all technical requests related to our wind turbine offshore fleet. More specific platforms covered under Technical Support: SGRE D3, SGRE G4, SGRE D8, SGRE D11, Vestas V164 and/or Nordex Delta).

      The Wind Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team is highly qualified experts with technical know-how. Our strategy assumes taking full control over the O&M process , which requires a strong internal organization and central support. The approach should ultimately lead to minimize O&M downtime without compromising the life time of our asset. The O&M Strategy has recently been adopted and is part of a larger improvement program within Vattenfall.

      The Technical Support First Line focuses on remote advice to bringing the Wind asset back in to operation based on known known solutions or in a save mode when it can’t start based on the standard known solutions.

      What will you do?

      You will be part of a dedicated team of Technical Support Engineers. You will be responsible to assure adequate on time answers and ensuring quality to technical queries raised by Vattenfall Wind sites. You will contribute to drafting standard solutions of known known issues and correctly using Technical Support First Line internal processes, ensuring high performance and development.

      More specifically you will:

      • Receive as gatekeeping, via a ticketing system or hotline call, and effectively evaluate technical requests (issues (incl. troubleshooting ones) or opportunities) to ensure accurate assessment and best resolution, for each situation, is provided
      • Distribute those requests to other departments if required
      • Identify from those individual requests the ones that could be a potential platform issue and investigate together with the affected sites the current status
      • Receive and distribute software updates to relevant parties
      • Provide improvements to second line to the reset alarm guides to be used by our surveillance colleagues
      • Gather data from the WTG software, using for analytical purposes to then provide advice on troubleshooting activities
      • Capture technical solutions in solution database and quick retrieval/answering when receiving queries via ticketing system or hotline call to allow standardization by second line support
      • Provide input to corrective standard work packages (general task list) in solution database to allow quick planning and scheduling for troubleshooter planners
      • Ensure working according to a standardized process including the good use of standardized tools
      • Provide feedback on running projects to product lines on Employer requirements for future projects
      • Provide feedback for the technical support business needs that are shared with Head of Technical Support
      • Provide feedback to improve Internal processes

      Location
      The work location can be London in UK, Amsterdam in the Netherlands or Kolding in Denmark.


      Qualifications

      As our new O&M Technical Support Engineer you have the ability to extract core content from complex and diverse information and present it in a simple way. Furthermore, you have:

      • Degree in a relevant field
      • At least 5 years of experience from working in a similar position in the energy sector or a technical industry
      • Offshore/onshore wind knowledge from a development, project or O&M role
      • Extensive experienced in technical, operation and maintenance are a must
      • Experience from leading change in large international organizations is considered as an advantage
      • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
      • Strong communication skills, comfortable in presenting, building relationships and influencing others, while working effectively across different cultures and geographical locations
      • Familiar with SAP
      • Electrical knowledge is beneficial
