      Job summary

      Were currently looking for a part timeOccupational Health Advisorto work within the HR team, to support the promotion of workplace health and wellbeing and positive attendance at work throughout the employee lifecycle including pre-employment which balances the needs and challenges of the business with appropriate and reasonable support of individuals.

      Main duties of the job

      • Review and advise on all pre employment health questionnaires, liaising with Onboarding Team, Service Leadership and HR Business Partners supporting the process of health risk assessments and decision making on fitness/suitability of candidate for role. Where necessary support risk assessment meetings including the candidate.
      • Develop and manage Preferred Supplier List for occupational health expert providers ensuring all supplier requirements have been adhered to, ensuring effective and timely support for the management of a range of health issues covering positive attendance and management of short and long term absence.
      • Undertake non specialist Occupational Health Assessments where appropriate and complete relevant referral paperwork for occupational health expert supplier referrals.
      • Support follow up actions based on occupational health reports.
      • Work closely with Employee Relations Team and HR Business Partners in the management of absence and positive attendance
      • Support process of reasonable adjustments, including management of Access to Work and other suppliers of other equipment.
      • Support process where required adjustments cannot be met by the business which may include capability management.
      • Research and provide costed proposals for positive health and wellbeing initiatives and programmes

      Location -Home Based travel to central office and services

      Main Purpose

      To support the promotion of workplace health and wellbeing and positive attendance at work throughout the employee lifecycle including pre-employment which balances the needs and challenges of the business with appropriate and reasonable support of individuals.

      Key Accountabilities

      Support the successful onboarding of candidates by managing the pre employment health assessment process liaising with Onboarding, Service Leadership and the HR Business Partners.

      Support the management of employee ill health and disabilities throughout their employment, working with Employee Relations, HR Business Partners and Service Leadership and providing expert advice and guidance.

      Develop a programme of positive health initiatives and programmes which support positive employee health and well being

      Key Duties

      Previous experience or the ability to develop a deep understanding of working within a SEN environment

      Excellent written skills

      Strong and persuasive verbal communication skills.

      Ability to analyse situations, information and data

      Open-minded and being flexible to change.

      Proactiveness and have the ability to work independently whilst effectively working within a team

      Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

      Requirements of Role

      This role is mostly home based but will require the ability to travel to services and central office. Continuous professional development and maintenance of relevant Occ Health professional status is required. External supervision may be required for the role which will be funded by the company with formal pre agreement.
