      Select Medical complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

      Salary Range (Depending on Years of Experience) $80,080.00 - $108,492.00

      Responsibilities

      BSW Rehab at Dallas N. Washington Ave is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in an adult OP setting. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Hand Therapist and have a desire to train and mentor within our AOTA Hand Fellowship program. The candidate will collaborate with the OT and PT teams in-house and have a desire for mentoring other OT's across the company. Experience and proficiency with splinting skills would be required. We primarily treat orthopedic injuries and conditions but also some high-level neurologic conditions on occasion. Situated on the campus of a level-1 trauma center, we frequently see milyi-trauma patients, tendor transfers/reconstructions, traumatic amputees as well as nerve grafts. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate current relationships with our established as well as new and potential referral sources.

      • Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
      • Patient Case Load Average: 8-10 patients a day
      • Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
      • Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
      • Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
      • Promoting continuous quality improvement
      • Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed

      Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational Therapy
      • Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice
      • Hand Therapy Certification
      • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
      • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
