High school diploma or GED
Two (2) years of general office support or customer service experience dealing directly with the public
Must pass a criminal background check
Ability to promote a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and appreciation of diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and values
Ability to be flexible and transition between tasks
Patience and compassion when dealing with challenging and sometimes emotional situations
Ability to use standard office software and follow standard office procedures
Independently handle general customer inquiries and complaints.
Ability to effectively organize/prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customer

Aging, Disability and Veteran Services (ADVSD) a part of Multnomah County Department of County Human Services (DCHS) is currently looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide services as an Office Assistant 2.
As an Office Assistant 2 you will be the first point of contact for clients and the public. You will perform clerical and customer service functions and will be cross trained to cover a variety of duties to support team members and serve customers. Typical duties you will find daily include receptionist tasks, switchboard responsibilities, client disbursements and receipting. Additionally you will be responsible for filing duties, information management, processing invoices, maintaining and operating equipment while working under established business controls and general support to internal customers.
The eligible list created from this recruitment may be used to fill future regular, limited duration, or temporary positions.

Type of Position: This AFSCME Local 88 union-represented full-time position is eligible for overtime.
Schedule: Core business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
