What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain, code, and abstract questionnaires and medical/police records for research projects
- Perform data entry related to occupational and environmental health research
- Collaborate with external agencies and maintain accurate documentation
- Manage concurrent non-overlapping projects while ensuring attention to detail
- Maintain proficiency in various software applications including MS Word, Excel, and Access
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school education or equivalent experience
- 6 months to 1 year of related work experience in typing and office software
- Experience in bookkeeping/accounting or knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience abstracting hospital/medical and EMS records
- Familiarity with work-related injuries and occupational health
- Collaboration experience with agencies such as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services
- Current Human Subject certification
- Basic familiarity with HTML, XHTML, and CSS
