      Onboarding Project Manager


      We are looking for an Onboarding Project Manager to join our Onsite Onboarding team within our Customer Success division. Your job will be to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to athena’s suite of products and services. You must work with a team of client stakeholders to customize future-state workflows, practice-side change management driven activities, and system cutover strategies - involving appropriate specialized implementation resources when applicable. During the go-live period, the Onboarding Project Manager proactively assesses client performance and system adoption, consulting with the client to celebrate successes and advising on areas that need attention or improvement


      You are consultative and can manage multiple clients and projects at once. You show your resourcefulness by finding creative ways to execute, even when there’s not a predetermined path to follow. Building strong relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions come naturally to you. You are an influencer on your team and others can count on you.


      The Team: Our Onsite Implementation team facilitates and executes the athenaNet configuration process and client end user training and support, promoting best practices for athenaNet setup and workflows. They must be able to prioritize both internal and external competing priorities across an assigned book of business of concurrently implementing clients to meet stated milestones and due dates spanning from the time of implementation kickoff through the transition to athena’s long-term support structure.


      Job Responsibilities

      • Plan, manage, and monitor projects for clients with varying complexities

      • Ensure that cross-team dependencies are identified and completed in a timely manner, confirming that internal specialized teams have the information needed to complete assigned deliverables

      • Maintain accuracy of all internal systems to warrant effective management of project pipeline and project resources

      • Function as escalation point for Onboarding Solution Manager and Onboarding Associates I & II

      • Manage training plans and client-specific workflow documentation

      • Travel up to 60% for client meetings, trainings, and go live support, and for internal athenahealth meetings and training sessions

      Typical Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree required (Bachelor of Science degree preferred)

      • 3+ years relevant project management experience in a health care setting

      • Healthcare and/or Consulting experience preferred

      • Experience with athena products and services

      • Previous experience managing projects from beginning to end with tight deadlines and time constraints

      • Ability to travel nationwide for up to 60% of the time, annually
