What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain an efficient cancer database for patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer
- Ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for the cancer network
- Meet productivity goals related to data abstracting
- Assist with annual follow-up of patients in the database and case finding
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care initiatives

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's level degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records data
- Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) required within 3 years of hire
- Knowledge of cancer registry practices and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
- Familiarity with cancer treatment protocols and healthcare regulations
- Experience with database management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
