What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain an efficient cancer database for patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer
- Assist with the annual follow-up of patients in the database
- Perform data retrieval to support cancer research and quality assurance initiatives
- Consistently meet productivity goals related to abstracting data
- Ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for the cancer program

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree required
- Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) at time of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in database management
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tumor registry
- Knowledge of cancer registry processes and data entry

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) designation
- Familiarity with cancer treatment protocols and quality assurance practices
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
