      Wilson College has an immediate opening for an Online Registration Specialist. The Online Registration Specialist is a dedicated, enthusiastic team member who works with our online student population. The Online Registration Specialist engages online students from the moment of entry by completing transcript evaluations, registering students for courses, verifying student identities, and completing student audits. The Online Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting students. They connect students to campus resources whenever they face challenges, celebrate their successes, and serve as the primary point of contact for them. The Specialist strives to make students feel like they are part of the campus community. The Online Registration Specialist performs a variety of technical and confidential duties related to the day-to-day functioning of the department and general office support functions.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Prepares preliminary transfer evaluations and assists in the final evaluation of transfer credit.
      • Creates degree completion plans.
      • Onboards Wilson College Online (WCOL) Students including managing any required assessments, completion of required agreements, verifying student identity, registration, and orientation to Wilson College.
      • Advising and registration of all WCOL students including schedule adjustments.
      • Assists in the completion of degree audits.
      • Connect WCOL students to campus resources as necessary.
      • Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and other materials or information of a confidential or sensitive nature as it relates to FERPA
      • Contribute to the success of the Office of the Registrar by providing regular office support services and completing additional assigned duties.

      COMPETENCY:

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to effectively and accurately convey information to students, faculty, and staff, providing outstanding customer service.
      • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, experience using an integrated data system (Colleague preferred) as well as any other software programs necessary to perform the job.
      • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and experience overseeing multiple priorities
      • Aptitude for exercising judgement and maintaining confidentiality
      • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently with little supervision using initiative and sound judgment.

      POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

      • Full-time
      • Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
      • Some work during evenings and weekends may be required.

      TRAVEL:

      • Negligible, based on the needs of the department

      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Two years of experience in student records or records compliance in an independent secondary school, college, or university setting preferred.

      Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
