What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review office and hospital charges for accuracy prior to billing
- Assign and enter appropriate coding into the electronic system for billing and reimbursement
- Evaluate medical records and apply correct clinical diagnosis and procedure codes
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve claims issues
- Collaborate with team members to address documentation, coding, and billing inquiries

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Successful completion of college-level courses in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
- Six months to one year of outpatient coding work experience using ICD-10-CM
- Knowledge of coding guidelines for hospital outpatient oncology services
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of relevant coding regulations
- Excellent communication skills to consult with medical providers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Coding experience with Oncology and/or Primary Care
- CPC, ART, CCS, RHIT, COC, or CHONC certification
