      Job summary

      Are you looking for a new challenge? Wye Valley NHS Trust are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic leader to join our diagnostics team and take a leadership role in our brand new Community Diagnostic Centre due to open later this Summer.

      The Community Diagnostic Centre will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep investigations, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions.       You will need to be comfortable with autonomous decision making, but will be a member of the diagnostic management team, taking responsibility and supporting all teams working at the CDC to include Radiology, Cardiac Physiology, Respiratory and Phlebotomy.

      You will work in partnership with diagnostic leaders on the acute site and be responsible for maximising patient experience and oversight of ensuring a clean and safe environment.

      Main duties of the job

      • To provide first line operational and management responsibility for the Community Diagnostic Centre in Hereford.
      • To work in conjunction with WVT lead radiographers and leadership in Heart and Lung services and Outpatients to provide a high quality and safety focused service for users.
      • Assist with staff management including staff recruitment, appraisals and sickness management.
      • To demonstrate high levels of clinical skill and act as a clinical role model.
      • Tobe responsible for developing policy, pathways and procedures.

      • Qualified Radiographer with relevant 1st level Degree or equivalent / HCPC Registration
      • Significant post graduate education including leadership and management to Masters level or equivalent experience

      Experience

      • Experience of managing people and financial resources at a senior level
      • Experience of developing services in a multi-disciplinary team(s)
      • Experience of following HR Policies e.g. Sickness absence and performance management
      • Experience of leading a service and service development projects
      • Experience of managing a varied complex service or site
