- Receive training in Bank policy, procedures and regulations regarding Bank products and services, as well as exposure to operation departments.
- Shadow and participate in completing checklist items for the operation departments.
- Complete and participate in projects that support the department overall.
- Participation in the Virginia Banker’s Association Internship Program.
- Perform other tasks as assigned on a day-to-day basis.
- Ability to communicate using verbal and written skills.
- Ability to prepare business presentations.
- Ability to shift quickly from one task to another.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented.
- Professional and confidential.
- Ability to adhere to full time schedule with variations as needed.
- Communicating with various levels and business lines of an organization.

Description
Position Purpose: The main purpose of the summer internship program is to get hands on experience working in various operations of a bank, while having the ability to interact and shadow with employees in multiple operation departments. This position will have the opportunity to contribute towards projects and assignments that will expose you to learning more about the industry. The internship position will have a weekly set schedule, with some flexibility based on the needs of the department.
