      The position

      At Novo Nordisk, we are on a thrilling growth journey and as an Operations Manager in Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Operations, your overall objective is to ensure stable and reliable planning, production, and release of products to our patients and customers.

      You will be responsible for the Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and your job will be to oversee the entire operation, improve collaboration, ensure sufficient capacities and priorities in close coordination with our Quality, Logistics, Support and Strategic Sourcing departments. You will have a wide range of stakeholders, both internally in Novo Nordisk and at our CMOs.

      Your main responsibilities will include:

      • Planning for and overseeing production at the CMOs
      • Handling of deviations, change requests, complaints, and other relevant tasks in a timely manner, to ensure products can be released in a good flow
      • Reporting and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) for the CMOs
      • Driving/participating in Life cycle management projects

      Qualifications


      To succeed in this position, you have:

      • Experience in pharmaceutical production environment and/or have worked with outsourcing of production and/or quality control processes
      • Academic degree within a relevant discipline, e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or similar
      • Informal leadership skills and can facilitate work cross-functionally
      • A strong quality mind-set and solid analytical skills

      On a personal level

      • You can build relationships through trust and transparency and are able to communicate across cultures
      • You enjoy working proactively in a dynamic environment, with many tasks to coordinate and execute, with changing priorities and strict deadlines

      In this role you need good communication skills and a structured approach to gain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders. Our language of business is English, so excellent command over both written and spoken English is required.


      About the department

      Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization and is responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract and license manufacturing of intermediates, drug substances, semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. The primary role of GCM Operations is to monitor, control and develop the production handled by CMO’s and to ensure delivery of products to our respective customers. We are responsible for all operations towards our CMO's and sourcing of products into Novo Nordisk according to the demand from our production sites and customers worldwide.
