      At a glance

      • This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the Bracknell/London Head Office depending on your preference. If based in London, the normal place of work for this role is Victoria, London pending the relocation of the London office to Pimlico during the summer of 2024, after which the normal place of work will become Pimlico, London.

      • Please note that you will be expected to travel to other Partnership sites across the country on a regular basis. Due to the amount of nationwide travel that will be required for this role, a full UK driving licence is required and an essential use business car will be provided.

      • The salary range for this role is set at £52,800 - £84,300.

      • This is a permanent position.

      About the role

      We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager for HVAC Systems to join our Technical Services team.

      The Operations Manager, HVAC Systems role involves overseeing the design and implementation of the Partnership HVAC systems and will lead on providing engineering solutions. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all specifications and standards align with company policies, managing the HVAC capital investment plan, and being the subject matter expert (SME) for HVAC.

      Key responsibilities:

      Design and Implementation:

      • Oversee the design and implementation of HVAC systems.

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC systems.

      • Ensure all designs meet energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.

      Standards and Specifications:

      • Develop and maintain specifications and standards for HVAC systems in line with company policies and industry best practices.

      • Conduct regular reviews and updates of standards to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and technologies.

      • Provide technical guidance to ensure that systems are designed and installed according to approved standards.

      Investment Plan Management:

      • Oversee the HVAC capital investment plan, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for HVAC projects.

      • Develop and manage budgets for system upgrades and new installations.

      • Track and report on the performance and return on investment of projects.

      Technical Expertise:

      • Serve as the SME for all HVAC related technical inquiries and issues.

      • Provide technical support and training to property management and maintenance teams.

      • Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

      • Be the Responsible person for ACOP L8.


      Essential skills you’ll need

      • Degree in Building Services related subject or equivalent experience.

      • Strong HVAC Knowledge with a good working knowledge of retail HVAC Design, Maintenance & Procurement.

      • In-depth knowledge of the retail environment and expectations and use of equipment within that environment.

      Desirable

      • Experience managing in a retail environment (specifically department stores and/or supermarkets).
